About the Role
At EKFB we're shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. EKFB is a joint venture of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall, delivering civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our team based in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will manage Early Warnings, Technical Queries and General Communications with HS2, Design Consultants and Technical support teams. You will provide support for the management and tracking of design changes and manage subconsultants, including development of scope of works and assessment of payment applications.

You will consolidate and manage update reports to the Senior Leadership team and manage interfaces with section Engineering Design Managers. A key part of this role is ensuring compliance with HS2 standards, supporting the technical team, and assisting with the implementation of BS EN ISO14001 certification and audits against the standard and internal procedures.

You will also support supply chain activities to raise environmental and sustainability standards and collaborate with the wider Environmental team, client, designers, community, stakeholder and public relations managers to ensure programme delivery.

As a leader, you will promote good practice relating to environmental management and sustainability, sharing best practice and learning across the project.

Requirements

Experience
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the application of environmental legislation for large scale infrastructure projects in the UK. Meticulous attention to detail while balancing delivery priorities and programme demands. Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing and negotiating with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships and networks. Able to extract key points and communicate effectively to diverse audiences. A proactive and collaborative team player who leads by example and promotes sustainability and environmental best practice.

Qualifications
Degree in an Environmental or Engineering discipline is desirable. Membership of an appropriate professional body and working towards chartered status is preferred.
