About the Role
As an Environmental Protection Officer within Thurrock Council's Environmental Protection Team, you will investigate statutory nuisances and environmental public health matters to support the team in fulfilling its statutory duties. This role is based within the Public Protection Service and Corporate Services Directorate. Some work outside normal hours may be required to meet service demands.

Experience
- Experience working within a local government Environmental Health Team is required.
- Experience in environmental protection work is highly desirable.

You will be a motivated and professional individual committed to public health and environmental protection. You should be adaptable to occasional work outside normal hours and able to work effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Environmental Health Degree or MSc qualification is essential.
- Additional qualifications in environmental protection work such as IOA CoP or Diploma are desirable.
- Science-based A levels are essential.
- Enhanced DBS check is required.
