About the Role
The postholder will contribute to the monitoring and development of contract specifications related to the Street Services contract and the wider Environmental Services portfolio. This includes street cleansing standards, enviro-crime and graffiti removal, reuse and recycling centres, and mini recycling banks among other services. You will monitor the contractor's performance on site to ensure scheduled street cleansing contract standards are met and take action under the contract if standards are not achieved. Monitoring contractor health and safety standards is a statutory requirement. The role also involves coordinating service complaints related to street cleansing and enforcement issues and liaising with elected members to resolve these. This position plays a key part in maintaining high environmental standards across the borough and ensuring effective contract delivery.

Experience
- Experience in waste, street cleansing, enforcement, or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience in monitoring Environmental Services contracts.
- Experience in monitoring Reuse and Recycling Centre contracts.
- Experience in resolving service complaints.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and contractors verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of current waste management, recycling, and street cleansing techniques.
- Knowledge of current Waste Management Legislation and street cleansing standards.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in direct engagement with residents and contractors is desirable.

Qualifications
