About the Role
SLR's European based international Environmental & Social Assessment team has a growing portfolio of mining projects across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America and Africa. We are seeking an ESIA Project Manager with international ESIA and Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) expertise in the mining sector. Based in our London office, you will work closely with our internationally focused team to win and project-manage large ESIA contracts on mining projects located in emerging economies. Regular travel to Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe will be required.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating a range of in-house and external technical specialists and leading the preparation of proposals and high-quality technical reports for Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental and Social Due Diligences, Environmental and Social Management Plans, environmental chapters of feasibility studies, and Environmental and Social Action Plans.

Experience
- Proven consultancy-based experience managing and delivering large ESIA studies in the mining sector
- Experience managing and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Strong client management skills including leading bids and tenders
- Excellent knowledge of international ESIA standards including World Bank Environmental & Social Standards, IFC Performance Standards, and EBRD Environmental & Social Requirements
- Experience working with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) such as EBRD, KfW, AFD, FMO, IFC and finance sector clients (private equity, banks, lawyers) is advantageous
- Ability to review and sign-off reports as a Qualified Person

Qualifications
Relevant degree or professional qualifications in environmental science, social sciences, sustainability, or related fields are expected. Professional accreditation related to ESIA or project management is desirable.
