Environmental Technician - 2nd Shift

$23.00 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus
About the Role

As an Environmental Technician, you will consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste following environmentally responsible and compliant practices. You will maintain detailed and accurate records, segregate and package materials for transport, assist with inventory and storage of hazardous materials, and operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers and load/unload trailers. This role offers opportunities for overtime, cross-training into different roles, and free HAZWOPER training and certification. Experience
Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
About you
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
- Visual acuity to read labels and documentation, and depth perception to safely operate forklifts
- Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments
- Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
- Ability to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary
- Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills to complete web-based training
- Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
