About the Role
Clean Earth is a leading provider of environmental services in the United States, specializing in remediation, disposal, recycling, and beneficial reuse solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, contaminated soil, and dredged material. As an Environmental Technician, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. This physically active role involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers and load/unload trailers, and completing accurate documentation in a timely manner. You will work both outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments, wearing company-issued personal protective equipment to ensure safety. Experience
Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Basic computer skills to complete web-based training are necessary.
About you
You must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday and stand or walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. Visual acuity to read labels and documentation, depth perception for safe forklift operation, and the ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms are essential. You should be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas is required. You must be able to attend work predictably and regularly during scheduled hours and deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed is important.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required. Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English is necessary.
