About the Role

As an Environmental Technician, you will consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste following environmentally responsible and compliant practices. You will maintain detailed and accurate records and assist in inventory and storage management of hazardous materials. Responsibilities include segregating and packaging materials for transport, operating forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers, loading and unloading trailers, and completing required documentation accurately and timely. Additional duties may be assigned by management. Requirements

Experience
Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments is preferred but not mandatory. Basic computer skills required to complete web-based training.

About you
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday. Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and depth perception to safely operate forklifts. Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms. Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments. Must be willing and able to occasionally work nights, weekends, and variable schedules. Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers. Predictable and regular attendance during scheduled hours is required.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English. Forklift operation experience is beneficial but not explicitly required.
