About the Role
Clean Earth is a leading provider of environmental services across the United States, specializing in remediation, disposal, recycling, and beneficial reuse solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, contaminated soil, and dredged material. As an Environmental Technician I, you will be a vital part of our team, learning environmental regulations and how to safely remove hazardous materials from the waste stream. Your responsibilities will include consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental policies and procedures. This physically active role requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers, and loading/unloading trailers. Accurate and timely completion of required documentation in accordance with regulations and customer policies is essential. Requirements

Experience
Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.

About you
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
- Visual acuity to read labels and documentation, and depth perception to safely operate forklifts
- Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments
- Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
- Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers
- Predictable and regular attendance during scheduled hours
- Willingness to occasionally work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills to complete web-based training
- Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
