About the Role
The Estates Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of building and engineering plant and equipment. This role requires the completion of specialist accreditation courses in areas such as IEE Wiring Regulations, Inspection and Testing, and Portable Appliance Testing. The post holder will work primarily in mechanical and plumbing services, with opportunities to develop skills in other trades. Key responsibilities include fault diagnosis and analysis of complex equipment, organizing maintenance programs, and liaising with contractors and departmental managers. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and building fabric work.
Experience
Must have experience in fault diagnosis and analysis of complex critical equipment and systems. A full valid driving licence is required.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a multi-skilled approach and be capable of working to fine tolerances and accuracy. You should be able to read and understand complex engineering drawings and operation manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely and effectively in compliance with relevant legislation are essential.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but relevant training and experience in mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance are advantageous.
