Climate change is a high-profile issue for the Partnership, and we are seeking an experienced Ethics & Sustainability Manager to support the delivery of our climate strategy.
This role is part of the Partnership's Climate team and involves leading select initiatives, managing data, developing policies and guidance, and supporting reporting and assurance processes to advance our climate change agenda. You will engage with key internal and external stakeholders to enhance and differentiate the Partnership's position as a market leader in Ethics & Sustainability.
Key responsibilities include managing the continuous improvement of the Partnership's carbon footprint calculation, supporting engagement and data collection from strategic suppliers, developing approaches to quantify the impact of sustainability initiatives on our carbon footprint, providing technical climate expertise, driving business value through data, and delivering climate-related reporting and assurance (e.g. TCFD, SBTi). You will ensure that climate activities have integrity, impact, and positively influence customer and third-party perceptions of the Partnership.

Experience
- Relevant degree-level qualification or industry experience in climate change
- Strong passion for reducing climate change impact
- Experience developing complex corporate carbon footprints for scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions
- Proven track record leading strategic projects to reduce climate impact, including quantification
- Excellent IT and data management skills, with ability to challenge data quality and insights
- Highly collaborative with excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build consensus and drive change including with senior executives
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferred
- Sustainability-related qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of climate change application in retail context advantageous
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, R) and complex data management is a plus
- Experience addressing climate risk and resilience in corporate settings desirable
- Experience embedding climate-related decision making into business as usual is beneficial
