About the Role
We are supporting an established resource recovery and waste management organisation seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair specialist recycling and waste-handling equipment at customer sites across the UK. The role involves planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, installations, and technical customer support across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You will work independently at customer sites, carrying out preventative maintenance, inspecting and diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing defective components, installing electrical wiring and hydraulic systems, and assisting with machinery installations including three-phase electrical connections. Additional responsibilities include minor welding repairs, completing service reports, providing technical advice, training customer employees, and managing workload effectively while adhering to health and safety standards.

Experience
- Servicing or repairing machinery or equipment in a field service, plant, industrial, waste or related engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Experience using electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.
- Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
- Ability to carry out minor welding repairs.

Qualifications
