Location
Dorking, Surrey - Based at Juniper Hall, a 17th-century country house set in a peaceful wooded valley at the edge of Box Hill, surrounded by beautiful grounds and easy access to diverse outdoor field sites.

Hours
Permanent full-time contract – average 37.5 hours per week. Weekly hours will vary across the year, with more during busy periods and fewer in quieter weeks.

Salary
£27,350 per annum

About the Role
Plan and deliver engaging lessons using field sites within Surrey to inspire students to care about nature. You will work with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that increase students' understanding of nature and the environment. Your responsibilities include developing, planning, and delivering outdoor courses in science and geography, leading groups of all abilities in the local environment while prioritising health and safety. When not in the field, you will contribute to other aspects of running a busy education centre. This is an active role that can be physically demanding, but highly rewarding for those passionate about outdoor education and environmental learning. Juniper Hall offers a unique working environment surrounded by nature and rich history, providing hands-on learning opportunities in grassland and woodland ecology, urban and rural regeneration, fluvial studies, freshwater ecology, and coastal management.

Requirements

Experience
Some previous experience of teaching or tutoring is required. Experience in producing and preparing various learning resources is also expected.
