
Location
Loughton, Essex - Field Studies Council Epping Forest centre, situated in the heart of Epping Forest with access to woodland, grassland, heath, and river teaching sites. Regular travel to other London learning locations including Bushy Park, Regents Park, Greenwich Park, Beckenham Place Park, and Stratford is required.
Hours
Permanent full-time contract – average 37.5 hours per week. Weekly hours will vary across the year, with busier and quieter periods.
Salary
Circa £27,350 per annum plus excellent benefits including 28 days leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, health cash plan, and more.
About the Role
As a Field Studies Tutor, you will plan and deliver curriculum-linked outdoor education activities for primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities. Your work will increase students’ understanding of nature and the environment through science and geography school trips. You will lead groups of all abilities in local natural environments, always prioritising health and safety. When not working in the field, you will contribute to other aspects of running a busy education centre. This is an active and rewarding role requiring flexibility and stamina. You will be based at a purpose-built, fully accessible centre with six classrooms and direct access to diverse teaching sites. You will also work across various London locations, delivering courses that suit a broad variety of educational needs. Experience
Previous teaching or tutoring experience and confidence in producing and preparing learning resources.
