Fundraising Development Lead


Location
Edinburgh or Inverness – hybrid of home and office working with travel across Scotland.

Full time - 35 hours per week
Salary
£40,908 - £44,415 per annum plus 8% employer pension contribution
About the Role
Changeworks is seeking a Fundraising Development Lead to identify and secure funding that will enable more people to decarbonise their homes. This permanent role is key to ensuring the continued delivery of a range of projects and services across Scotland. You will be responsible for securing income through identifying, developing, and writing funding applications. Working closely with the Business Development team and senior managers, you will support the delivery and successful execution of Changeworks’ business development strategy. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to support joint bids and initiatives. Additionally, you will provide peer support by collaborating proactively with team managers to identify ideas and opportunities aligned with their plans and priorities. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in Scotland’s transition to net zero by supporting impactful projects and services in energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
Experience
In-depth fundraising experience with proven success in securing funding for projects and services. Demonstrated track record of securing charitable trust and grant income. Experience managing long-term relationships with funders and partners. Knowledge of the retrofit, energy, or fuel poverty sectors is beneficial but not essential.

Motivated and skilled in building strong stakeholder relationships. Able to work collaboratively across teams and with senior management. Passionate about environmental sustainability and decarbonisation. Excellent written communication skills for developing compelling funding applications.
