About the Role
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. Founded in 1963 as a pioneer in business strategy, BCG today drives total transformation by inspiring complex change, enabling growth, building competitive advantage, and delivering bottom-line impact. Our diverse global teams combine deep industry and functional expertise with a range of perspectives to spark change, delivering solutions through management consulting, technology and design, corporate and digital ventures, and business purpose.
This 6-month temporary role as Global Impact Senior Manager for Climate & Sustainability (C&S) is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of BCG’s global sustainability agenda. You will help measure and articulate the real-world planetary impact and business value of our work with clients, playing a pivotal role in advancing BCG’s ambition to be the most positively impactful company in the world.
As part of the C&S Practice Area's Management & Operations team, you will shape how impact is measured, expressed, and used to inspire action—environmentally, reputationally, and commercially. You will work across four key dimensions:
1. Quantify impact and value of Climate & Sustainability work by partnering with case teams across 1000+ projects annually to develop impact metrics covering carbon, water, waste, biodiversity, and more. Act as a strategic thought partner to translate sustainability efforts into credible impact aligned with global standards.
2. Develop compelling impact stories for internal and external audiences, collaborating with Marketing and References teams to create client impact videos showcasing successes.
3. Lead the development of BCG intellectual property by analyzing C&S case data to identify when business value and positive planetary outcomes align, shaping thought leadership assets such as publications or insight reports.
4. Engage with global leadership and functions by preparing discussions for senior leadership forums, contributing to the Annual Sustainability Report, and liaising with Legal and External Communications to ensure responsible messaging and protect BCG’s reputation.
This role offers a rare chance to define how impact becomes a measurable, strategic asset and to drive sustainable transformation at scale.
Experience
Proven track record of leading initiatives independently, ideally in fast-paced, matrixed, and virtual environments. Experience in impact measurement, sustainability, or related fields is an asset but not required.
About you
High-energy, self-driven professional with a strong passion for Climate & Sustainability and a desire to make a difference at scale. Excellent storytelling and communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts and inspire diverse audiences. Outstanding project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across leadership levels and functions.
Qualifications
Formal qualifications are not specified; what matters most is your drive, agility, and leadership to shape one of BCG’s most meaningful agendas today.
