About the Role
Join the journey to net zero in one of the UK's most vital sectors. We're looking for a passionate and driven graduate to join our Carbon & Sustainability team in the water industry. As a Graduate Carbon Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping us reduce emissions, enhance environmental performance, and shape a more sustainable future for communities across East Anglia. The @one Alliance is a ground-breaking collaboration between eight leading organisations delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects that directly benefit people and the environment while gaining hands-on experience in a regulated, fast-evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support carbon accounting and reporting across operational and capital projects
- Analyse data to identify carbon hotspots and opportunities for reduction
- Collaborate with engineering, asset management, and environmental teams
- Contribute to life cycle assessments and carbon footprint modelling
- Assist in preparing sustainability reports and stakeholder communications
- Stay up to date with evolving carbon legislation and best practices

Experience
Strong data analysis skills with confidence in using carbon accounting tools and spreadsheets. Understanding of water industry challenges including energy use, emissions from treatment processes, and supply chain impacts is desirable.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights. Proactive mindset eager to identify carbon reduction opportunities and drive innovation. Willingness to learn and open to training and development in carbon management and water sector operations. Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, evolving regulatory and technological landscape.
Qualifications
Graduate level qualification relevant to environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related discipline. Right to work in the UK by the commencement of employment is required.
