About the Role
Genesis Global, a business unit of Technip Energies, is seeking early career Environmental Engineers and Environmental Specialists to join our Environmental Team. We provide impartial consulting services to clients in the energy industries, supporting projects across traditional hydrocarbon sectors and emerging energy technologies such as hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and offshore wind. You will work as part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team including engineers, marine biologists, chemists, geologists, and GIS specialists, delivering environmental assessments and studies for projects both in the UK and internationally.
You will support a wide range of environmental activities including carbon management, energy efficiency, de-carbonisation, environmental impact assessment, permitting and compliance, and environmental modelling. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that support the energy transition and sustainable future.
Responsibilities include executing environmental studies and assessments, characterising emissions and discharges, supporting client reporting and compliance, contributing to HAZID/ENVID reviews, running and interpreting environmental models, preparing technical reports and proposals, and liaising with clients to ensure project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
Experience
Early career level; experience or knowledge in environmental legislation, environmental impact assessment process, and environmental modelling is advantageous. Experience with GIS and software development (Python, Fortran, C, MatLab or similar) is desirable. Knowledge of sectors such as oil & gas, onshore/offshore wind, infrastructure, hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage is beneficial.
About you
You are a strong team player, well-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent written communication skills with attention to detail. You demonstrate innovative thinking and are computer literate, including proficiency in standard MS Office software. Flexibility for occasional travel within the UK and abroad, including client offices and offshore visits, is essential. You must have the right to work in the UK.
Qualifications
A degree in a relevant science, engineering, or environmental subject is required.
