About the Role
Cundall's leading Sustainability & Building Physics team is a key part of our international business. As a recognised leader in sustainability worldwide, our team is committed to designing innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions that minimise the use of natural resources. We are seeking passionate graduates to join us in making a positive environmental impact across homes, offices, industry, and communities.
Join our Sustainability Team and contribute to innovative and award-winning projects such as the Hong Kong Science Park, Australia's first 6 Star Green Star community, and the largest biomedical precinct in the Southern Hemisphere.
This is an excellent opportunity for talented sustainability graduates to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in the UK and globally. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop your skills in energy modelling and assist in creating energy and sustainability strategies for new and existing buildings.
Your work will span across various areas including building physics and parametric modelling, building performance and operational energy optimisation, certification and compliance, health and wellbeing guidance, net zero and whole life carbon services, and sustainability design and ESG services.
As your professional skills develop, you will be supported to take on greater responsibility and encouraged to work towards Chartership through one of our accredited training schemes.
Experience
On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort, and natural ventilation. Experience or understanding of climate-based daylighting analysis, operational energy calculation using TM54, sustainability rating tools such as BREEAM, and life cycle carbon costing is beneficial.
About you
Organised and methodical in managing tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines. Collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative to overcome challenges.
Digital engineering is a key focus, so an understanding of parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB) is desirable.
Qualifications
Desirable to be accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree in Sustainable Engineering, the Built Environment, or an equivalent qualification.
