In this role, you will lead the development of programmes that enable the green industrial revolution in the region, including strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project management. Your work will ensure all initiatives align with our sustainability goals while attracting low carbon jobs, investment, and innovation to support both economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive green growth and net zero projects and programmes aligned with EMCCA’s mission.
- Overseeing delivery of projects through internal and commissioned initiatives such as Local Area Energy Planning and Retrofit.
- Identifying and securing funding opportunities including grants and partnerships.
- Conducting energy project assessments and leveraging team expertise to develop compelling business cases for projects valued over £20 million.
- Managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders including National Grid, Cadent Gas, and other regional organisations.
- Supporting partners in developing and delivering an investible pipeline of projects of regional and national significance.
- Monitoring and evaluating programme effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement and best practice alignment.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports on progress, outcomes, and impact to senior management and stakeholders.

Experience
- Proven track record in Net Zero project delivery and green initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and manage multiple large-scale projects in complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience building strong, collaborative, and enduring cross-sector partnerships.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
