About the Role
Schroders is seeking a Head of Sustainability on an 11-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This senior role will lead the development, implementation, and reporting of ESG best practices across Schroders Greencoat and related entities. You will support ESG due diligence for investment processes and committee papers, manage ESG reporting and disclosure in line with standards such as TCFD, SFDR, SDR, UNPRI, GRESB, and NZAMI, and liaise with both internal stakeholders and external advisors on ESG matters. The role includes overseeing the production and quality of ESG reports and data collection, advising on ESG-related standards and regulatory changes, and responding to client queries. You will set agendas and drive progress for ESG Committee workstreams, collaborate with Sustainability & Impact teams, review and sign off Impact Assessments for impact funds, and lead ongoing sustainability projects including ESG data solutions and climate risk assessments. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to represent Schroders professionally to senior leadership and institutional clients.

Experience
- 8-10+ years of relevant ESG experience in investment management or client advisory roles
- Strong understanding of real assets, preferably infrastructure
- Familiarity with investment management operations, back-office systems, and regulatory environment
- Experience working with senior leadership and institutional clients
- Expertise in sustainability reporting, disclosure, and client communication
- Advanced subject matter knowledge and project management skills
- Additional accreditations such as CFA, ESG CFA, CAIA, MBA, CPA are beneficial but not essential
