About the Role
Dacorum is an active and green borough, home to Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring, with a strong focus on business, enterprise and ambition. The Neighbourhood Delivery Service plays a vital role in enhancing quality of life for residents and is central to the Council’s services. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied management role leading teams responsible for trees, woodland, parks, and open spaces development across the borough.
You will lead the delivery and development of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites and play a key role in implementing the Council’s new Parking Solutions Policy and capital programme. You will also act as the Council lead and champion for biodiversity and Nature Recovery.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead the Future Neighbourhoods initiative, an engagement project aimed at improving the environment for residents and businesses. The role requires working collaboratively across services and the wider organisation to drive service improvements, harness efficiencies, and implement innovative solutions to enhance the customer experience.
Strong people and team leadership skills are essential, along with experience in site management and working with internal and external stakeholders. Project and programme management skills will be important to succeed in this role.

Experience
Proven experience in delivering high-profile frontline services, site management, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrable project and programme management skills are essential.

Qualifications
A valid UK driving licence is required. A Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria will be interviewed.
