About the Role
Around half an hour by train from central London, Dacorum Borough Council is based in Hemel Hempstead and serves the towns of Berkhamsted and Tring. Dacorum is an active, green, and ambitious area just outside the M25, with a focus on customer-centred services and flexible, hybrid working. The Neighbourhood Delivery Service plays a vital role in enhancing quality of life for residents and is central to our community services.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Greenspaces and Projects Manager. This varied management position involves leading teams responsible for trees, woodland, parks, and open spaces development across the borough. You will be pivotal in delivering and developing Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites and will lead the implementation of the Council’s new Parking Solutions Policy and capital programme.
Additionally, you will champion biodiversity and Nature Recovery initiatives and take the lead on the Future Neighbourhoods engagement project, aimed at improving the environment for residents and local businesses. This role requires collaboration across services and with external partners to drive service improvements, efficiencies, and innovative delivery models that enhance the customer experience.
Strong people and team leadership skills, experience in site management, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are essential. Project and programme management expertise will be key to your success. Experience
Proven experience in delivering high-profile frontline services, managing teams, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in site management and project/programme management is essential.
