About the Role
Located just outside the M25 and around half an hour by train from central London, Dacorum is a vibrant and green borough home to Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring. The Council is committed to designing services around customers, supporting flexible and hybrid working, and fostering a culture of ambition and enterprise.
As Greenspaces and Projects Manager, you will take on a varied and senior leadership role within the Neighbourhood Delivery Service, which plays a vital role in enhancing quality of life for residents. You will lead teams responsible for managing trees and woodland, and oversee the development of parks and open spaces across the borough.
A key part of your role will be the delivery and development of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites, alongside leading the implementation of the Council’s new Parking Solutions Policy and capital programme. You will also act as the Council lead and champion for biodiversity and Nature Recovery.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead the Future Neighbourhoods initiative, an engagement project aimed at improving the environment for residents and businesses in local communities.
This role requires collaboration across services and with external partners to drive service improvements, explore new delivery models, and enhance the customer experience. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping a cleaner, greener, and safer borough for all residents and stakeholders.
Experience
Proven experience in delivering high-profile frontline services and site management. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively across different services. Experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders is essential. Strong project and programme management skills are required.

Qualifications
