About the Role
Around half an hour by train from central London, Dacorum Borough Council is based in Hemel Hempstead and serves the towns of Berkhamsted and Tring. Dacorum is an active and green area, focused on business, enterprise and ambition, with a strong commitment to customer-centred services and flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Greenspaces and Projects Manager within our Neighbourhood Delivery Service. This varied management role involves leading teams responsible for trees, woodland, parks, and open spaces development across the borough. A key focus will be the delivery and development of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites.
Additional priorities include leading the implementation of the Council’s new Parking Solutions Policy and capital programme, championing biodiversity and Nature Recovery, and taking the lead on the Future Neighbourhoods initiative—an engagement project aimed at improving the environment for residents and businesses.
You will work collaboratively across services and with external partners to drive service improvements, explore new delivery models, and enhance the customer experience. Strong people and team leadership skills, site management experience, and the ability to manage projects and programmes effectively are essential.

Experience
Proven experience in delivering high-profile frontline services and managing teams. Experience in site management and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project and programme management skills are essential.

Qualifications
