About the Role
Join Peabody’s Talent Pool as a Grounds Maintenance Operative and help keep our communities green, safe, and welcoming. This role involves maintaining shrub beds through pruning, weeding, and leaf clearing using hand tools and machinery. You will cut grass with hand-held and ride-on mowers, remove litter, leaves, and debris from landscaped areas—including bins and drug-related waste. Additional duties include weed and pest control, graffiti removal, snow clearance, patrolling parks, marking pitches, and checking play areas for safety. You will also support tree maintenance and help keep waterways clean and clear. Following health and safety procedures and wearing all required PPE and uniform is essential. Experience
Previous experience in grounds maintenance is required.

About you
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Skilled in using a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment. Physically fit and able to carry out demanding tasks. Clear and polite communication skills. Willingness to take on additional health and safety responsibilities such as Fire Warden or First Aider if required.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 1 or equivalent qualification. A current UK driving licence is essential.
