About the Role
Join Peabody’s Talent Pool as a Grounds Maintenance Operative and help keep our communities green, safe, and welcoming. You will maintain shrub beds through pruning, weeding, and leaf clearing using hand tools and machinery. Your duties will include cutting grass with hand-held and ride-on mowers, removing litter, leaves, and debris from landscaped areas—including bins and drug-related waste. You will carry out weed and pest control, graffiti removal, and snow clearance. Additional responsibilities include patrolling parks, marking pitches, checking play areas for safety, supporting tree maintenance, and helping keep waterways clean and clear. You will be expected to follow health and safety procedures and wear all required PPE and uniform. Experience
Experience in grounds maintenance is required.

About you
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Skilled in using a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment
Physically fit and able to carry out demanding tasks
Clear and polite communication skills
Willingness to take on additional health and safety responsibilities such as Fire Warden or First Aider if required

Qualifications
NVQ Level 1 or equivalent
A current UK driving licence
