About the Role
At WSP, you can shape a career as unique as you. We offer opportunities to grow and work on nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in groundwater and water environment Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to lead technically complex projects. You will apply your hydrogeological knowledge across groundwater assessment, conceptualisation, modelling, Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessment, and wider water environment disciplines, supported by a national team of over 350 specialists.
In this role, you will lead major infrastructure EIA and groundwater investigations, guiding technical inputs for projects including planning and Development Consent Order (DCO) submissions in sectors such as energy, water, transport and power. You will influence how WSP delivers groundwater and water EIA assessments, collaborating with a highly skilled national team within Sustainable Water Management and Earth and Environment. Additionally, you will mentor junior colleagues and help strengthen senior technical capability.
This position offers flexible locations and career pathways, with roles available at Principal or Senior level depending on experience. You will manage client relationships, project delivery, scope, budget and programme, review and assure technical outputs, contribute to proposals and business development, provide technical guidance and training, and support innovation within WSP’s groundwater and water EIA services.
Join us to work on landmark projects, make a meaningful impact in communities, and create a lasting legacy through your work.
