About the Role
Are you a qualified horticulturist who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about delivering high quality standards? This is an excellent opportunity to join Glendale, a leading green space management company, as a Head Gardener for a prestigious client in the Liverpool region. You will initially work independently on a new contract covering multiple sites, with a vehicle provided to carry out your duties. The role involves maintaining high standards using state-of-the-art electric garden machinery and equipment. You will report to Glendale’s local Contract Manager and site-based staff, and may provide supervision and guidance to a small team when required. Experience
Proven experience in garden and staff management, including planning, scheduling, health and safety compliance, and record keeping. Experience operating a full range of garden machinery such as hedge cutters, ride-on and pedestrian mowers, and blowers. Familiarity with electric equipment is essential. Basic knowledge of arboriculture is advantageous.

About you
Enthusiastic and motivated with excellent attention to detail. Confident in managing staff development and performance. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer literacy is required to manage records and processes efficiently.

Qualifications
Recognised academic horticultural qualification. Spraying certification (PA1/6) is required.
