About the Role
The Head of Delivery will lead GoodPeople’s portfolio of employment, skills and social value programmes, turning commitments into meaningful outcomes, including jobs, apprenticeships and opportunities for local businesses. You will take ownership of programme delivery standards, client and funder relationships, delivery teams and the development of a scalable delivery model.
Working closely with GoodPeople’s founders, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Partnerships, you will lead two flagship programmes. The first is an NHS new hospitals programme in the East of England, where GoodPeople has been commissioned to design and deliver a regional model that ensures NHS investment in new hospitals creates employment, apprenticeships and skills opportunities for local people. You will bring together NHS organisations, contractors, local authorities and colleges to deliver a coordinated programme.
The second is GoodPeople’s established Green Careers programme, which supports people into jobs in the green economy. Funded by a major corporate partner as part of a £100 million impact investment, you will manage the funder relationship, oversee programme milestones and lead the recruitment team.
The role will also involve expanding the portfolio to include further programmes across the UK, helping to secure new opportunities and supporting their mobilisation. You will be supported by a Project Coordinator and will work closely with senior leadership to grow GoodPeople’s delivery model.
Main duties include planning, mobilising and managing programmes, including workplans, governance, budgets, risks and reporting; developing consistent delivery processes and standards that can be replicated across new contracts; building relationships with Tier 1 contractors, NHS trusts, local authorities and employers to create jobs, apprenticeships and supplier opportunities; managing client and funder relationships and ensuring agreed milestones are achieved; leading the recruitment team through a Recruitment Team Lead, setting clear targets and maintaining an effective delivery pipeline; developing strategic partnerships with local authorities, Net Zero Hubs, colleges and skills networks; identifying opportunities to extend programmes into new locations and phases; and contributing to bids and new business development.
You will be responsible for ensuring programmes deliver measurable outcomes, maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders and providing clear progress reports to clients and funders. This is a leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple programmes while supporting the continued growth of the organisation.
