About the Role
Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Nature Recovery team is seeking a Head of Nature Economy and Business Development to develop and deliver an integrated advisory offer focused on nature economy markets and to grow our ecological consultancy. This role is vital in ensuring Norfolk Wildlife Services continues to provide a significant income stream for the Trust.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s largest environmental charity, dedicated to protecting and enhancing Norfolk’s wildlife and wild places. Norfolk Wildlife Services (NWS) is a consultancy business offering professional ecological and arboricultural services. As a Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM) Registered Practice, NWS upholds high professional standards. NWS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Norfolk Wildlife Trust and a member of the Wildlife Trust Consultancies network. All net profits from NWS are donated annually to Norfolk Wildlife Trust to support its mission of making Norfolk’s nature abundant, thriving, and valued.

This impactful and dynamic role will help scale up nature recovery efforts and increase the area of land managed and restored for nature across Norfolk, contributing to the national Wildlife Trusts’ goal of 30% of the UK’s land and sea managed for nature by 2030. The emergence of the nature economy presents significant private investment opportunities, and you will lead Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s entry into this market, unlocking diverse financing options to deliver nature recovery at scale.

The successful candidate will lead Norfolk Wildlife Services consultancy, representing the business externally to clients, partners, and industry forums, and internally within the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join Norfolk Wildlife Trust in a new role with significant impact on tackling the nature and climate crisis.

- Staff discounts at visitor centres, charity worker discounts, benefit hub, and other partner discounts
- Employee Assistance Programme offering free 24/7 counselling, legal and information helpline
