About the Role
We are seeking an experienced leader to head our home energy retrofit services, fostering a culture of high performance and outstanding results. You will leverage your retrofit expertise to develop our paid-for whole-house retrofit services, secure funding through publicly funded programmes, and identify additional funding opportunities. Working closely with the Director of Household Energy Services (HES) and as a member of the HES Leadership Team, you will provide clear vision and strategic direction for the retrofit team. Additionally, you will participate as a member of the wider Senior Management Team (SMT).

Key responsibilities include overseeing retrofit delivery within the HES portfolio, managing resource utilisation and workload planning, monitoring projects, and ensuring quality outputs. You will support retrofit staff to remain engaged across departments and help them reach their potential. Financial oversight of retrofit projects, timely reporting to partners and funders, and line management of retrofit staff are also essential duties. You will collaborate with the Director of HES to identify new strategic retrofit opportunities and contribute to the organisation’s business planning and budgeting processes. As part of the SMT, you will share collective responsibility for the organisation’s day-to-day operations and represent the retrofit team’s interests.

Experience
- Extensive experience delivering retrofit project services or programmes
- Experience working with installers of energy efficiency measures and low carbon technologies
- Proven track record in developing new projects and services related to energy efficiency and low carbon technologies
- Line management experience
- Excellent reporting and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical and non-technical summaries

Qualifications
- Minimum Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- Relevant retrofit or energy efficiency qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
