About the Role
Procter & Gamble (P&G), a global leader in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods with brands such as Gillette, Fairy, and Oral-B, is seeking a motivated and experienced HSE Specialist to join our West Thurrock site. You will lead the site's compliance with the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH) and be responsible for ensuring the safe management of hazardous chemicals and thermal safety systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, leading inspection and testing schedules, overseeing the thermal safety program, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, performing risk assessments, and fostering relationships with external partners. You will also develop and deliver training programs on hazardous material handling, thermal safety, and emergency response. Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in HSE compliance within the chemical industry or a related field
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT) and industry standards
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems
- Experience with process safety programs and operations involving boilers and combustors
- Previous project management or planning experience is advantageous

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Motivated and proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Fluent in English

Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or CIH are a plus
- Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship may be available subject to Home Office requirements
