About the Role
A growing business within the waste and resource recovery sector is seeking experienced HGV Mechanics to join its workshop team in Bromborough. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HGV vehicles to a high standard, ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational. Key responsibilities include carrying out 6-weekly inspections, MOT preparations and repairs, completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs, maintaining accurate maintenance records, reporting vehicle faults to the Workshop Foreman or Supervisor, and maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy workshop. The role requires working effectively both independently and as part of a team while supporting high standards of safety, compliance, and vehicle reliability.

Experience
Previous HGV workshop experience is required. A strong understanding of vehicle inspection, maintenance, and repair is essential. Own tools are required for this role.

About you
You should have a practical and safety-focused approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A full UK driving licence is mandatory.

Qualifications
Full UK driving licence is required. Category B or CE driving licence is desirable but not essential.
