Manchester office with hybrid working - 3 days in office per week. Other AQA office locations include Milton Keynes, London and Guildford.

Hours
Full Time - 35 hours per week

Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role
Join AQA as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor and play a pivotal role in shaping the HSE experience across our multi-site business. You will support the delivery and development of high-quality, legally compliant, and customer-focused health, safety and environment services that directly impact the wellbeing of colleagues and contribute to AQA's mission of advancing education for learners of all abilities. This role involves delivering a comprehensive HSE advisory service, implementing and auditing HSE policies and risk assessments, supporting sustainability initiatives, and collaborating with workplace and operational teams. You will also execute gap analysis while onboarding subsidiary businesses into HSE Management Systems. This position reports to the Group HSE & Business Continuity Manager and works closely with the Head of Workplace Experience and Sustainability within a highly engaged and respected Workplace team.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in a senior HSE role with extensive knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment management systems. Experience as an HSE Advisor with the ability to hit the ground running. Skilled in data and programme management with excellent organisational and time management abilities. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

About you
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ownership of processes. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to manage multiple workstreams, resolve issues using sound judgement, and work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness and ability to travel between AQA offices as required. A proactive approach with a 'step up' mindset to deliver high-quality service and improvements.

Qualifications
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or NEBOSH General Certificate with relevant extensive health and safety experience is essential.
