Manchester office with hybrid working - 3 days in office per week. Other AQA office locations include Milton Keynes, London, and Guildford.

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role
Join AQA as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor and play a pivotal role in shaping the HSE experience across a multi-site business. You will support the delivery and development of high-quality, legally compliant, and customer-focused health, safety, and environment services that directly impact the wellbeing of colleagues and contribute to AQA's mission of advancing education for learners of all abilities. This role involves delivering a comprehensive HSE advisory service, implementing and auditing policies and risk assessments, supporting sustainability initiatives, and collaborating with workplace and operational teams. You will also execute gap analysis when onboarding subsidiary businesses into HSE Management Systems. The position offers professional development opportunities, including support with IOSH subscription fees, flexible working arrangements, and involvement in sustainability and business continuity projects. Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in a senior HSE role with extensive knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment management systems. Experience as an HSE Advisor is essential to hit the ground running. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, deliver continuous improvement, and work independently and as part of a team. Experience in auditing, risk assessments, investigations, and compliance reporting is required.

Highly organised with excellent data and programme management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage stakeholders confidently. A continuous improvement mindset with sound judgement and initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to travel between AQA offices as required. Commitment to delivering a customer-centric service and promoting a positive, professional image of AQA.

Qualifications
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or NEBOSH General Certificate with relevant extensive health and safety experience is essential. A commitment to professional development and maintaining CPD through IOSH or similar is desirable.
