Manchester office with hybrid working - 3 days in office per week. Other AQA office locations include Milton Keynes, London and Guildford.

Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role
As an HSE Advisor at AQA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the health, safety and environment experience across our multi-site business. Reporting to the Group HSE & Business Continuity Manager, you will support the delivery and development of high-quality, legally compliant, and customer-focused HSE services that directly impact the wellbeing of our colleagues and contribute to AQA's mission of advancing education. You will implement and audit HSE policies, procedures and risk assessments, support sustainability initiatives, and collaborate with workplace and operational teams to enhance the colleague experience. This role involves delivering a comprehensive advisory service, conducting internal audits, investigating incidents, and supporting subsidiary businesses in onboarding to HSE management systems. You will also contribute to training delivery and business continuity planning, ensuring all practices are compliant and continuously improving. Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in a senior HSE role with extensive knowledge of HSE management systems and compliance auditing. Experience as an HSE Advisor with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skilled in managing multiple workstreams and delivering under pressure.

Highly organised with excellent data and programme management skills. Strong communicator with a continuous improvement mindset. Able to use sound judgement and initiative to resolve issues and deliver results. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Able to travel between AQA offices as required. Qualifications
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or NEBOSH General Certificate with relevant extensive health and safety experience. Professional development and training support available to maintain and enhance your qualifications.
