The Central Functions teams support the entire business by ensuring smooth operations, legal compliance, and safeguarding health, safety, and security.

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team at THG ensures safe working environments for all employees and visitors, providing on-site support, conducting audits, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation. This role is based at the food manufacturing site, Brighter Foods.

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture on-site, working closely with senior leadership and site teams to manage risks, deliver training, conduct inspections, and provide practical health, safety, and environmental advice.

You will support the implementation of site-specific HSE policies and procedures, conduct regular workplace inspections and audits, assist with risk assessments and permit-to-work processes, investigate incidents and near-misses, deliver inductions and toolbox talks, maintain accurate HSE records, monitor PPE compliance, support reporting and performance reviews, engage employees in safety initiatives, and stay current with HSE legislation and best practices.

Experience
- Previous experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification is essential.

- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Confident in delivering training and briefings to small groups.
- IT literate, experienced with Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
- Team player with a hands-on attitude and passion for promoting workplace safety.
