About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join Eku Energy's UK team. Reporting to the Global WHSE & Risk Manager, you will support the UK and EMEA business in identifying and mitigating health and safety risks across the development, delivery, and operations of our assets. You will also provide support to group-wide reporting and improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting proactive identification and mitigation of health and safety risks across Eku projects and operating assets in collaboration with development, delivery, and asset management teams
- Hands-on implementation of the Eku Work Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) framework and projects across UK and EMEA
- Maintaining, reviewing, and enhancing local health and safety management tools and processes to ensure legislative compliance and risk mitigation
- Providing technical support on health and safety compliance and risk mitigation during project planning, delivery, and asset operations
- Facilitating transfer of health and safety knowledge through engagement, mentoring, coaching, and training programs
- Conducting regular site inspections and contractor health and safety engagement activities across active construction projects
- Coordinating and participating in incident response and investigations in line with regulatory requirements and company procedures
- Contributing to and facilitating health and safety assurance programs across UK and EMEA operations
- Developing and maintaining key reporting metrics and data for business reporting
- Liaising with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as required
- Keeping up to date with developments in health and safety legislation, regulations, guidelines, and industry best practice, at minimum within the UK

Requirements

Experience
You will hold a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years' experience leading positive health and safety behaviours and performance within construction projects, either in-house or consultancy roles, preferably within the renewable or infrastructure sectors. Experience working across multiple projects and initiatives, including conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits is essential.

Operational understanding of UK health and safety legislation is required, with preferred additional experience across Italy and Germany. A flexible and adaptable communication style is important for success in this role.

You demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different regions.

Qualifications
NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is required. Desirable qualifications and experience include establishing and implementing WHSE management systems with associated certifications.
