About the Role

We are seeking a motivated HSE Advisor to join our Health, Safety & Environmental team in Sheffield. Reporting to the Senior HSE Manager, you will provide expert HSE advice and be the primary contact for production-related health and safety matters. You will support the implementation and maintenance of the ISO management system and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include advising on legislation applicability, managing site audit programmes, conducting inspections, supporting accident investigations and RIDDOR compliance, maintaining contractor management systems, and driving a positive safety culture across the business. You will also assist with occupational health programmes, risk assessments, HSE training delivery, and liaise with external regulatory bodies.

Experience
- Proven experience in high hazard Health and Safety operations
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Audit and inspection management
- Contractor management and pressure systems knowledge
- Familiarity with compressed gases and risk management strategies
- Knowledge of design safety processes such as Hazop and LOPA
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Incident response and crisis management experience

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)
- Educated to degree level (desirable)

- NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management (desirable)
- NEBOSH Diploma or Level 5 equivalent (desirable)
