Field-based role with rotational shifts offshore

About the Role
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor with extensive knowledge of Wind Turbine construction to support the safe execution of upcoming Offshore Wind Farm Projects. You will coordinate with internal workforce and external contractors to ensure a suitable and sufficient Safe System of Work is in place prior to works commencing and liaise with site supervisors to monitor adherence during execution. Your role ensures compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety legislation, SGRE standards, and customer and site requirements.

Key responsibilities include supporting site management to discharge duties in line with procedures and legal regulations, monitoring site emergency preparedness, and ensuring effective pre-job planning by SGRE and contractors. You will promote the use of Enablon as a reporting tool for safety observations and proactive inspections, monitor follow-up actions, and coordinate timely close out of corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).

Additional duties involve analysing safety observations to identify trends and implementing awareness schemes, attending planning and coordination meetings to ensure safe collaboration of works, performing frequent site safety walks and formal inspections, and communicating with technical functions and HSE teams to share learning and develop guidelines. Participation in internal and external HSE audits and assessments is also required.

This role requires a motivated self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills, comfortable working at height and fit for offshore work.

Experience
- Minimum five years' experience in an HSE role within the Wind Turbine Construction or maintenance industry
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
