About the Role
Wood PLC is seeking a HSSE Advisor to join its project management team on a Pharmaceutical Plant in Hertfordshire. This role supports an EPCm Services contract across a portfolio of projects varying in size and complexity. The successful candidate will provide timely advice and guidance on all Health, Safety and Environment matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policy, management systems, and client requirements. You will support the development and maintenance of HSE risk registers, objectives, and execution plans, assist with construction phase plans, and coordinate audit programs. The role involves supporting incident investigations, risk assessments, environmental impact controls, emergency response arrangements, and promoting workforce involvement in HSE activities. You will liaise with clients, subcontractors, and employee HSE representatives, attend project HSE meetings, and assist with training needs and safety recognition programs. This is a forward-thinking role requiring alignment of stakeholders to common goals within a highly regulated environment. Experience
- Post qualification experience in a technical or HSE role, ideally within a highly regulated sector
- Experience working on construction projects and familiarity with pharmaceutical environments is beneficial
- Knowledge of HSE regulations including CDM and Good Manufacturing Practice
- Experience with investigation techniques and applying them
- Competent user of MS Office Suite

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- NVQ Level 4
- IOSH (desirable)
- C&G, ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSE or related industry
