About the Role
At Solina, a fast-growing international company with nearly 5,000 employees, we design customised savoury solutions for clients in the food industry, food service, butchery, and nutrition markets. Sustainability is at the heart of our business, aiming to produce food that is delicious, nourishing, affordable, sustainable, and convenient. We are seeking a HSE Coordinator to support the HSE Manager in ensuring best practices in health and safety, exceeding legislative requirements, and promoting a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.
The role involves working closely with departmental managers and supervisors to set realistic health and safety objectives, prioritise actions, and establish adequate systems and performance standards. You will support the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures, assist in accident and incident reporting and investigation, and help maintain compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Additional responsibilities include managing contractor safety by maintaining approved contractor lists, ensuring proper documentation and inductions, auditing contractor compliance, supporting risk assessments and safe systems of work, and participating in sustainability initiatives. You will conduct HSE inductions, perform regular site walkarounds to identify risks and challenge unsafe behaviours, liaise with external bodies as needed, and continuously seek learning opportunities through webinars and conferences.
Experience
- Knowledgeable in SHE regulatory affairs
- Experience in health, safety, and environmental coordination or similar roles
- Ability to train and develop teams in safety practices

Qualifications
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent minimum qualification
