About the Role

As the HSE Lead, you will take a leading role managing a site-based team of HSE personnel and provide HSE support and guidance to the Site Manager. You will work closely with the Regional HSE Manager to implement the company HSE strategy and improve the Safety Management System and processes. Acting as a mentor, you will manage on-site HSE Advisors and collaborate with the Client HSE team to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Your responsibilities will include leading and developing project/site HSE plans aligned with business objectives, identifying competence needs of HSE Advisors, managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective audits and follow-ups, and actively engaging with site personnel. You will also lead incident investigations, promote the company Behavioural Safety Programme 'Safety Works', and drive continuous improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance.
Routine duties involve supporting Operations to identify hazards and assess risks, ensuring adherence to the CMS system, recording and investigating incidents, disseminating HSE information, conducting audits, delivering onsite HSE training, and fostering a strong HSE culture throughout the company.
Experience
- Auditing and inspection
- Incident management and investigation
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and CDM regulations
- Familiarity with management system standards
- Experience in industrial services sector and petrochemical industry
- Improvement planning and implementation
- Experience with Mechanical or SIPS departments is desirable

- NVQ Level 5 or NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
