About the Role

We are recruiting an HSE Manager to work at a prestigious workplace site in London, delivering high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management across our operations.
Key responsibilities include delivering health and safety performance indicators, food safety, allergen management, and proactive internal auditing. You will conduct reactive audits and interventions as required, engage operational teams, and provide coaching and support to foster a culture of safety.
Specific duties involve maintaining and implementing bespoke HACCP systems aligned with Compass Global CPU standards, overseeing the Compass Workplace Safety Management System, and working closely with managers to develop continuous improvement programs for HSE management. This includes regular audits, inspections, risk assessments, and facilitating team training from CPU through to site delivery and customer consumption.
You will provide competent advice and support to operational teams to enable effective HSE responsibility, support new business retention and mobilisation, investigate food safety and safety incidents ensuring proper reporting and improvements, and liaise with enforcement agencies when required.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with site management teams to maintain and improve safe food systems and safety standards, assisting the Sector Head of QHSE Manager with CPU and delivery sites, and working alongside other health, safety, environmental, and quality professionals to ensure a consistent approach to meeting HSE objectives across the company.

Experience
Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management within a food or production environment is highly desirable. Experience in delivering HACCP and safety systems, conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH) and HACCP training are preferred. A strong understanding of regulatory, company, and accreditation requirements related to Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and the Environment is essential.
