About the Role
As an HSE Manager at Gather & Gather, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in delivering health, safety, and food safety performance across a prestigious workplace site in London. You will be responsible for the delivery of H&S, food safety, and allergen performance indicators, as well as conducting proactive and reactive audits and interventions. Your role will involve operational engagement, coaching, and supporting teams to foster a culture of safety.

You will maintain and implement bespoke HACCP systems aligned with Compass Global CPU standards and oversee the Compass Workplace Safety Management System to ensure consistent operational safety standards. Working closely with managers and key staff, you will drive continuous improvement programs through regular audits, inspections, risk assessments, and training activities from CPU through to site delivery and customer consumption.

Additional responsibilities include investigating food safety and safety incidents, liaising with enforcement bodies when required, and providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and accreditation requirements related to Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and the Environment across CPU sites. You will collaborate with site management and other health, safety, environmental, and quality professionals to maintain and improve safety standards and support new business mobilisation and developments.

Experience
Proven experience in health, safety, and food safety management within a complex operational environment is essential. Experience in delivering HACCP and safety systems, conducting audits, and incident investigations is required.

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with external enforcement bodies. Qualifications
Relevant health and safety qualifications and certifications related to HACCP and food safety management are highly desirable. Competence in risk assessment, audit processes, and incident investigation is expected.
