About the Role
As an HSE Manager at Gather & Gather, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing health, safety, and food safety standards at a prestigious workplace site in London. You will be responsible for delivering health & safety performance indicators, food safety, allergen management, and proactive internal auditing. Your role includes operational engagement, coaching, and supporting teams to foster a culture of safety.

You will maintain and implement bespoke HACCP systems aligned with Compass Global CPU standards and oversee the Compass Workplace Safety Management System to ensure consistent operational safety standards. Working closely with managers and key staff, you will drive continuous improvement programs through audits, inspections, risk assessments, and training activities from CPU through to site delivery and customer consumption.

Providing competent advice and support to operational teams, you will help them fulfill their HSE responsibilities and support new business retention and mobilisation by implementing effective HSE standards. You will investigate food safety and safety incidents, ensuring proper reporting and implementation of improvements, and liaise with enforcement agencies as required.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with site management teams, assist the Sector Head of QHSE Manager in developing CPU and delivery sites, and partner with other health, safety, environmental, and quality professionals to ensure a consistent and effective approach to meeting HSE objectives across the company.

Experience
Proven experience in health, safety, and food safety management within a similar operational environment is essential. Experience in delivering audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement programs is required.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in Health & Safety, Food Safety, or related disciplines are required. Competence in HACCP systems and workplace safety management is essential. Additional certifications related to auditing, risk management, or environmental standards would be advantageous.
