About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE) Manager to take full responsibility for site-wide health and safety, security, and environmental compliance at a leading pharmaceuticals manufacturing site. You will ensure all EHS policies and procedures are implemented and maintained across site activities. Keeping up to date with changes in EHS regulations, you will review and update site policies accordingly. You will maintain and update health & safety and environmental manuals, ensuring accurate and current information is available and adhered to by all personnel. Acting as the focal point for site security, you will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure H&S and environmental standards are clearly understood and consistently maintained, including managing all risk assessments and COSHH requirements. Your role will also involve conducting internal audits and coordinating with third parties for external audits, including ISO 14001 compliance. As the voice of health and safety on site, you will be the primary contact for all H&S training initiatives and communications.
Experience
Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, ideally within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Experience managing site-wide EHS compliance and security is essential. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and conducting internal and external audits is required.
About you
Detail-oriented and proactive with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are confident in interpreting and applying EHS regulations and policies. You are a strong advocate for health and safety culture and able to lead training and awareness programs effectively.
Qualifications
BSc or MSc in a scientific, engineering, or health & safety related discipline. Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are essential.
