The HSE Manager will lead the UK site by providing vision and strategy for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices to maintain a safe workplace and environmental compliance. This role is key to fostering a strong Health and Safety culture within the organisation.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the HSE plan for the Somercotes site, advising all levels of the organisation on HSE and legislative matters, identifying and delivering training needs, maintaining HSE records, managing audits, accident investigations, licenses, permits, and ensuring risk and COSHH assessments are up to date. The role also involves leading the H&S committee, delivering inductions and ongoing updates, advising on appropriate PPE, and driving environmental initiatives such as waste and emissions reduction.

The HSE Manager will work closely with the UK site management team to ensure engagement and support for all HSE activities and support global H&S initiatives by aligning the UK site with corporate guidelines. A proactive and visible approach to supporting Health and Safety standards, rules, and regulations is essential.

Experience
- Extensive experience as a HSE Manager within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in delivering training and development
- Demonstrated success in changing HSE culture
- Good up-to-date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
- Ability to influence and challenge at all organisational levels to ensure compliance

Qualifications
