The HSE Manager will lead the UK site in developing and implementing a vision and strategy for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant workplace. This role is pivotal in fostering a strong Health and Safety culture across the organisation.

The key responsibilities include developing and executing the HSE plan for the Somercotes site, providing expert advice on HSE and legislative matters, identifying training needs and delivering or coordinating training, maintaining HSE policies and procedures, managing audits and corrective actions, and ensuring all necessary licenses and permits are up to date. The role also involves conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and noise/dust surveys, liaising with Occupational Health services, and leading the site’s H&S committee. The HSE Manager will work closely with site management to promote engagement and support for all HSE initiatives and align with global health and safety standards.

Experience
- Extensive experience as a HSE Manager within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in delivering training and development
- Demonstrated success in changing HSE culture within an organisation
- Good up-to-date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and best practices
- Ability to influence and challenge at all levels to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards

Qualifications
