The HSE Manager will lead the UK site in developing and executing a vision and strategy for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). This role ensures compliance with legislation and best practices to maintain a safe workplace and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will foster a strong Health and Safety culture across the organisation and work closely with site management to support all HSE activities.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the HSE plan for the Somercotes site, providing expert advice on HSE and legislative matters, identifying and delivering training needs, maintaining HSE records and audits, managing accident investigations, ensuring licenses and permits are current, and driving continuous environmental improvements such as waste reduction and zero landfill initiatives. The role also involves chairing the H&S committee, ensuring thorough inductions for new starters, and keeping staff informed of legislative changes and safety procedures.

Experience
- Extensive experience as a HSE Manager within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience delivering training and development
- Demonstrated success in changing HSE culture within an organisation
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
- Ability to influence and challenge at all organisational levels to maintain HSE standards
